We create a caring, homely place where children, families and our community can connect & belong. Rated Exceeding in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standard and delivering exceptional Early Education.
At Bindarra, we recognise that children are the most influential players in their own learning. We as Educators strive to support & advocate for children’s freedom to learn & play in ways that are uniquely suited to them. We listen, initiate, witness, respond, respect, involve & are available for children’s play.
Our curriculum is a cycle process built on the interests, passions, strengths & needs of our children, which emerge from play, conversations, relationships, community events and influences of home.
Family partnerships play a crucial part.
At Bindarra, we understand that each stage of childhood development comes with unique needs. That’s why we have three dedicated groups to cater for different age groups and to ensure high quality of care
Our bilby area is a nurturing space, designed specifically to cater for our youngest friends from newborns up to 2 years of age. Our Educators are focused on fostering strong relationships through gentle interactions. We work closely with you to establish routines for their day at Bindarra to ensure a smooth transition between home and Bindarra. Activities in this group are tailored to encourage sensory exploration, motor skills and early communication. We have one of Educator for every 7 children in this group.
Our bandicoot group caters for children aged 2-3. As children transition into this group from the Bilbies, they will begin to explore their independence and social skills. We offer a vibrant, engaging space where the children are encouraged to use their autonomy to choose activities that cater to their interests. Activities in this group are tailored to focus on developing language, social interaction and fine motor skills through play-based learning. We have one of Educator for every 10 children in this group.
The brumby group caters for our preschool aged children from 3 years of age until they enter the kindergarten program. The emphasis in this groups shifts towards preparing them for the next step in their educational journey in kindergarten. We still follow a play-based learning model in this group and tailer activities to encourage problem-solving and collaboration. Ou Educators promote self regulation, social skills and independence. This group has lots of shared time with the kindergarten group, ensuring a smooth transition to the kindergarten program. We have one of Educator for every 27 children in this group.
While we have set groups, one thing that sets Bindarra apart from other daycare providers is our focus on ensuring all children can co-mingle. This helps our children transition throughout their Bindarra journey and make friends in varying age groups.
Bindarra takes pride in its dedicated team of Educators who possess a wealth of collective knowledge and experience. With many Educators having over a decade of tenure at Bindarra, most hold Diplomas and boast years of expertise.
The well-being of Educators is a priority at Bindarra, aligning with the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics, a strong culture of continuous improvement, alongside a commitment to enhancing the team's strengths and skills through continuous investment in professional development.
